Welcome to China Gourmet! China Gourmet is owned and operated by Bingo and Jade, a local Salem couple who are proud to present a delightfully updated, modern, and authentic Chinese dining experience to Salem. As original managers of Chang’s Mongolian Grill, Bingo and Jade deeply understand the tastes and culinary desires of restaurant-goers from the Mid-Valley.

Our head chef Sam Chan was born and raised in Hong Kong, where a wide array of cultural influences – from East to West – come together to create a veritable food paradise. Sam began his career as a chef amid this sophisticated food culture. Since then, Sam has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge working at renowned restaurants all over the world from Taipei, Tokyo, to the US. Among these leading establishments were the famous Hong Kong Yung Kee Restaurant; Las Vegas and Mission Bay San Diego Hiltons; and Fung Lum Restaurant at Universal Studios. Sam’s style of cooking is meticulous, vibrant, aromatic, but above all, delicious.

Our savory menu offers many popular dishes as well as a variety of vegetarian dishes to suit your demands. Our signature dishes include Chicken Mushroom Noodles, Crispy Gourmet Noodles, Gourmet Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, Gourmet Seafood, Garlic Sauce Beef, Eggplant Garlic Sauce, and Sweet and Sour Pork. We use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients, personally chosen by our family of passionate food enthusiasts.
